Springfield is a community I’m proud to call home, and after four years on Council, I have gained a strong understanding of the decisions, opportunities, and responsibilities that come with shaping its future. I’m running for Mayor to bring experienced, thoughtful leadership to the table—leadership that listens, encourages collaboration, and makes practical decisions with the long-term interests of our residents in mind.
 

I believe we can move Springfield forward while staying true to the character and values that make our municipality special. My goal is to build on our strengths, address our needs with a clear and responsible approach, and ensure Springfield remains a strong and welcoming place to live, work, raise a family, and do business for generations to come.

As Springfield continues to grow, we need to plan carefully for the future. That means making responsible decisions about development, infrastructure, services, and spending while maintaining the rural feel that residents value. Growth should strengthen our communities—not come at the expense of what makes Springfield unique.
 

Revitalizing Main Street in Oakbank

I want to see a vibrant and welcoming Main Street in Oakbank that supports local businesses and creates a stronger community hub. Revitalization requires long-term planning and the infrastructure to support it, including moving forward with the water treatment plant. Investing in the right infrastructure today will help create opportunities for businesses, residents, and our community tomorrow.
 

Working Together

Good municipal government requires collaboration. We need residents, businesses, Council, municipal staff, and other levels of government working toward common goals. Disagreements will happen, but they should be handled professionally and respectfully. Springfield is better served when we focus our energy on finding solutions rather than publicly airing disagreements.

These are principles I believe should guide municipal leadership. I will respect and listen to residents, advocate for the needs of our differing communities, and support municipal staff in doing the important work they were hired to do.
